Where are you...?
Genesis 3:9
..But the Lord God called unto the man, “where are you?”
How on earth can the omnipresent, omniscient God ask a question like this, and at such a time as this? You may ask. Surely God has a sense of humour, but believe me you, When ever God asks a question he is up to something .Firstly we need to understand that when God is asking He is not in need of knowing anything because he is the omniscient and omnipresent God. Then what was the essence of this question at this crucial time. If I were God my first question would have been the “Why.” The lord has pressed so much on my heart that I would like to share with you today on this topic .Though the question may sound more physical ,it has more spiritual connotation than a naked eye can see. It’s a question that applies to all of us today and so close to the heart of God .This question was addressing both the authority God had given Adam and the fears that had gripped him then.
Adam was the first man God made and created in his own image and after his likeness .When God had finished (Genesis 1:28), he blessed them .The 26 verse makes us understand that man was made to be a ruler. And so he was until he (the ruler) compromised the principles upon which his authority was based; the command not to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge and of evil. He obeyed the very thing that was meant to obey him .The moment this happened two things took place right there and then: authority was lost and fear gripped in. When the principles upon which authority is based are compromised the resulting effect is fear. Fear will place you in positions you are not meant to be. It can take you from the throne to the bushes .This is how much sin can do to us .Isaiah 48:22, there is no peace to the wicked .They wi flee even when there is no one pursuing them(proverbs 28:1).
Today you may be experiencing the same thing, you may have found yourself in a position where you feel like authority is gone and no peace seem to be in your tents .You can no longer proclaim what you once so much believed in. You are discouraged and hiding. You settle for secondary than your best. However there is a way out of where you are today.........

"The way out."
2Peter 1:3-4.
His devine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.(v4) Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises so that through them we may participate in the devine nature and escape the corruption in the world that is caused by evil desires.
